For heart meditation, you should set aside about half an hour. Ensure you won’t be disturbed during this time; a quiet place in nature or at home is recommended. When you are ready, make yourself comfortable lying down or sitting.
Heart Meditation: A Guide for Beginners
With heart meditation, you can open your heart to love, compassion, and peace. It can serve as both a forgiveness ritual and a daily meditation practice to gently and positively influence your inner attitude.

In Ayurvedic teachings, the focus is always on a holistic view of the individual in their unique constitution. This includes not only physical but also mental and emotional well-being, with the goal of achieving holistic health. With heart meditation, you can build a positive mindset and thus experience more joy and ease.

Heart Meditation Text for Reading Aloud and Practicing
Here you will find the heart meditation guide again as text, so you always have it at hand and can practice the meditation at your leisure:
1. Relax Your Body and Your Breath
Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and direct your attention inward. Concentrate entirely on your breathing and observe for a while how your breath calmly and evenly flows in and out through your nose.
Try to relax, letting all your bones, muscles, and joints loosen. Your entire body can now completely relax and let go.
2. Direct Your Attention to Your Heart
Then place one hand on your heart area and direct your attention there. Feel your own heartbeat, how it beats rhythmically and supplies your body with fresh blood. Feel into your heart, breathe in and out relaxed, and connect completely with your own heart energy.
3. Visualize a Healing Light
Imagine a beautiful, radiant bright light spreading from your heart into all cells of your body. Feel how warm your heart becomes and how the light continues to spread within you.
4. Repeat the Mantra “I am lovable”
While the healing light flows through your heart, say to yourself internally: “I am lovable.” Repeat the sentence once more and feel into your heart. Can you say these words with conviction? Can you fully accept this truth?
Feel into your body and sense if there are any resistances or doubts within you. What feelings arise? What prevents you from accepting this truth? Are there perhaps old hurts and disappointments that still influence you?
Feel into your heart. You are worthy of being loved – on all levels! Allow yourself to love and accept yourself as you are.
5. Let Go of Resistance and Open Your Heart
Observe your breathing and with each inhale, take in the resistance; with the next exhale, let go of a little bit of it.
Repeat this breathing technique a few times and feel the sense of relief. If you have now let go of the obstacle or doubt to some extent, return your attention to your heart area and say to yourself again a few times: “I am lovable.”
First, say it in your thoughts, then repeat it aloud. Speak the words with full conviction from your heart. Open your heart to self-love.
7. Enjoy the Feeling of Happiness and Feel Within
Feel the feeling of happiness that increasingly settles within you. From your heart, it radiates into all areas of your body. Your entire body rejoices; you were just waiting to recognize this truth. Let a smile arise from your heart and send it through your entire body, into every tiny cell.
Deep in the center of your being, an infinite wellspring of love bubbles. Allow this love to well up to the surface. Let it fill your entire heart, your body and your thoughts, your consciousness and innermost being. Open your heart wide. Let the streams of radiant light and love flow.
Remain in this feeling of happiness for a while longer and enjoy it. Be glad that you have opened yourself to love. If you want to be loved, first give love to yourself – and you will receive it a thousandfold from others. Love is pure joy in being.
Enjoy this moment for as long as you wish. It is a gift to you. When you are ready, open your eyes, stretch comfortably, and carry this loving feeling into your day.
If you feel in everyday life that you are about to lose it, then close your eyes, place your hand on your heart, and say to yourself: “I am lovable.” Because that is the truth.
