World Luxury Hotel / Spa Awards: Global Winner
We are delighted to announce that our resort has been named Global Winner for the best detox program at the World Luxury Hotel & Spa Awards! The Sonnhof was also recognized as the Best Luxury Health Spa in Western Europe and the World's Best Luxury Wellness Healing Retreat. The total of six awards at the prestigious awards not only underline the effectiveness of our European Ayurveda® concept, but also confirm the expertise of our entire team.
Connoisseur Circle: 3rd place in the TOP MEDICAL SPA category
In 2024, the Connoisseur Circle once again selected the best of the best from Austria. As in previous years, we were able to impress in the TOP MEDICAL SPA category and were awarded 3rd place this year!
Winner of the prestigious DACH Spa Award
Our hotel is one of the best spa and wellness hotels in the entire DACH region. The DACH Spa Award is an annual award that recognizes day spas, wellness hotels, cruise ships, spas and beauty salons for their first-class facilities and the outstanding service they offer their guests.
European Health & Spa Award: 2nd place
Falstaff Hotel Guide 2024
The Falstaff Hotel Guide is a selection of first-class hotels that are awarded points by experts in six different categories. These are primarily the members of the Falstaff Travel Community and a selected jury of experts. This year, we were once again among the 600 best hotels of the year and achieved an excellent result - 91 out of 100 points.
Falstaff Spa Awards 2023 and 2024
Our hotel is one of the best spa hotels in the entire German-speaking region and was awarded the Falstaff Spa Award in 2023 in the category "Best Cure & Detox" and in 2024 "Medical & Detox".
Falstaff is the most popular brand for enjoyment, travel and lifestyle in the German-speaking world. More than 25,000 Falstaff Travel Club members and the Falstaff expert jury give ratings for numerous hotels and we were able to achieve an excellent result of 93 out of 100 points both years.
Connoisseur Circle: 2nd place in the TOP MEDICAL SPA category
For the third year in a row, we have taken 2nd place in the TOP MEDICAL SPA category in the rating of the renowned Connoisseur Circle magazine! We are very proud of this, as the result includes the ratings of the TrustYou platform and also a public vote.
Vitalpin KlimaInvestment: Winning project
This year, Vitalpin and Climate Partner have once again promoted tourism projects from the Alpine region that demonstrably save CO2 emissions and thus advance climate protection and sustainability.
The focus was on the topic of sustainable energy and there we were able to convince with our energy concept and innovative technologies. We were awarded as the winning project by a jury and experts in the field of energy.

The European Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof was awarded again in 2022 by the magazine Connoisseur Circle, to the best hotels in Austria in the category TOP MEDICAL SPA and reached also this year the excellent 2nd place.
SPA Star Award: 2nd place in the category of best health concepts
The SPA Star Awards are presented to outstanding establishments every year. Our European Ayurveda® concept was once again able to convince and was awarded 2nd place of the SPA Star Award in the category as best health concept in 2022.
Falstaff Hotel Guide: Best of Austria 2022
Falstaff is now the largest gourmet magazine in the German-speaking world. In 2022, thousands of guests - including Falstaff Travel Club members and a selected jury of experts - once again submitted their ratings for over 1,400 hotels. Our hotel also received great ratings and is one of the "Best of Austria 2022".

The prestigious World Luxury Spa Awards 2019 crown us the best Luxury Ayurveda Spa in Europe. The World Luxury Spa Awards are among the most prestigious tourism awards in the world. The awards are presented at country, continental, regional and global levels.
Time Out - The best hotels in Europe: 4th place in Europe and 1st place in Austria
Time Out is a British, award-winning travel magazine published by the Time Out Group, which has been around since 1968 and in that time has expanded its editorial recommendations to 108 cities worldwide. In 2018, Time Out named the 13 best hotels in Europe. Our European Ayurveda® Resort Sonnhof achieved the proud fourth place Europe-wide and the first place of all evaluated Austrian hotels.
